The following events are being conducted based on students’ grade levels such as Short poems, Storytelling., Handwriting., Spelling Bee, Elocution, Recitation, Essay Writing, Declamation, Debate, Recitation, etc.

Competitive exams help the students to test their skill levels and we believe it is one of the approaches to overcome their anxiety towards facing the world. Exposure to the following competitive exams is given to our students every year.

Everyone enjoys music, whether by listening to it, singing, or playing an instrument. Especially for students, it helps a lot. Music builds imagination and intellectual curiosity and it develops spatial intelligence. When students work as a team, music creates a platform to learn teamwork. The foremost benefit is that it helps to release stress. With this in mind, our school provides a music class every Friday for all the students. A certified staff imparts the knowledge of music and helps to play a few instruments like keyboard, piano, and guitar.

Practicing yoga, the ancient Indian treasure helps in maintaining balanced health- physical, mental, and emotional. It has become more relevant in this chaotic world. Our school conducts weekly yoga classes every Wednesday. Yoga helps children manage their anxiety and improves their emotional health and boosts their self-esteem. Yoga enhances children’s concentration and memory and teaches discipline. A qualified yoga trainer teaches yogasanas for Grades 1 to 12 inside the school campus. Our students have participated in many yoga competitions and have got many awards as well.

Nirmala Matha Convent School, ICSE/ISE, in association with Carpe Diem Skills Academy – the official training partner of Cambridge Assessment English, trains its students for the Cambridge English Exams. Cambridge Assessment English offers a range of English qualifications which make learning fun, enjoyable, effective, and rewarding. The exams motivate learners of all ages of students and levels to learn English and prepare them for real-world situations.

SUPW is Socially Useful Productive Work. SUPW is a subject taught in our school where students can try their hands at a number of vocation-related skills like painting, crafts, glass painting, stitching, and paper modeling. Students are also guided in acquiring knowledge on First-aid. Every Thursday SUPW classes are conducted for all the students right from Grade I to XII. They learn to work in a team, to appreciate arts and crafts, and to find out their inclination towards a particular skill during the early stages of their lives. Apart from imparting necessary individual skills, SUPW aims at developing the habit of working and understanding the dignity of labor.
